Purpose
This year, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ECRs and HDRs are invited to attend Garulbo Yanbalehla: Indigenous ECRs and HDRs walking together Summit.

Garulbo Yanbalehla is a Yugambeh term that means walking together. The Summit will provide a meeting place for Indigenous education researchers to share, grow, be mentored, and establish necessary relationships that will enable them to continue walking together once they return to their homes and places of work. Coming together to sit, share, and build relationships is important. This Summit will contribute to this, and in doing so, will provide much needed opportunities for capacity building, networking, and professional learning for those that attend. Garulbo Yanbalehla, contributes to establishing and supporting a network of Indigenous education ECR and HDR representatives and contributors to AARE.

Successful applicants will have costs covered for their attendance over the 2 days. This includes catering (Morning tea, lunch) each day, including Summit dinner (Friday 11 October), and support towards your travel expenses, (up to $1000) if you are from inter-state, or if travelling more than 2 hours to attend the summit (up to $500).
